Stringfellow Memorial Hospital’s Volunteer Auxiliary has a long history of caring and devoted members. Formed in 1961, the contributions and good will of past and current members is in keeping with Susie Parker Stringfellow’s generosity of spirit and personal commitment to ensuring a nurturing and healing environment for all.   

Adult Volunteer Benefits

Our Volunteers receive:  
Free annual flu shot
Free meal for each 4-hour shift
Recognition and holiday banquets
Appreciation and gratitude from community members and staff  

Areas of Service

Information Desk
Assistance in Pre-Admitting Testing Dept.
Assistance in Same Day Surgery
Assistance in Clerical Support
Transporting/Escorting patients  
All volunteer hours are Monday – Friday. No evenings, weekends or holidays expected.

Teen Volunteer Program

Stringfellow Memorial Hospital conducts a six week summer program for area teens ages 14 – 18.  Please contact the Director of Human Resources for more information.
